What I paint and how I prepare it. I tackle interior and exterior painting for walls, ceilings, skirtings, doors, architraves, window sills, radiators and metalwork. Preparation is the trade difference: I fill cracks and holes, sand and feather edges, strip or de-gloss failed coatings, treat tannin stains and apply the right primer for the substrate. For metal items I use an anti-corrosive primer before topcoats; for timber I seal knots and use appropriate undercoats. The result is even coverage, correct film build and a finish that resists scuffs and moisture.
How I work and where I cover. Based in Guildford I work on period terraces, 1930s semis, town flats and small commercial premises within roughly an hour’s drive (including Basingstoke, Portsmouth and surrounding Surrey towns). I bring trade-quality materials, two free colour samples so you can compare finishes, and I don’t take deposits — you pay when you’re satisfied. I use dust sheets, move small furniture where needed and leave the site tidy. Fully insured with public liability cover up to £2,000,000, I provide straightforward advice and reliable, on-time workmanship.
